Oh, you golden, magnificent, born-for-this thing.
You who arrived in the world like the sun arriving in a room - and honestly, everyone felt it.
You don’t take up space. You illuminate it.
I love you for your bigness. The laugh that fills the whole room, the loyalty that never wavers, the way you love people so fiercely and so fully that they feel lucky just to be in your orbit.
When you shine, really shine, there is nothing quite like it on this earth.
You are the warmth in the middle of summer. The standing ovation. The one who makes everyone feel like the night just got better.
And yes, sometimes the need to be seen gets louder than the desire to see.
Sometimes the performance takes over from the person.
Sometimes the fear of not being enough turns, quietly, into too much.
But that’s just what happens when someone born to shine hasn’t yet learned that the sun doesn’t have to try.
It just rises. And the whole world turns toward it.
So let others have their moment. Encourage someone else’s light and watch what happens to yours.
